The Potential Underlying Diversity
Historically, diversity in the workforce has never been proportionate. Companies aim to hire a specific person, and that specific person often times falls under the same, specific category. More specifically, in the profession of engineering, a deep barrier was constructed in the early stages, leaving many women stuck and unable to cross it. Less than 12% of our current engineers are represented by women, and we need to be proactive now to combat this from further holding our future generations back from the impossible.
