Science Olympiad is nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from State to National levels. Middle school students compete in a B Division and high school students compete in a C Division. The Iowa State tournament will run all 23 national events for each division.

Registration Fees include the required National Science Olympiad membership dues of $75.

- First and second teams: $200
- Third+ teams: $175***
*** Only first and second teams are eligible to compete at the state tournament. All teams can compete at invitationals.
