Why Engineering: I have always been a huge fan of airplanes. From the minute I stepped into one, I wondered about the hows of this airship. For a moment, I thought it was magic, and then I started middle school. The magic was in fact called aerodynamics. Over the years, my curiosity to actually experience and utilize these concepts has amplified. And there I was, an international student on her way to becoming the first engineer in her family.
Favorite ISU Memory: I’ve made so many memories over five years. But the one that I won’t forget is probably when my friend and I would grab a coffee from Dunkin at 5:30 AM and watch the sunrise from Lake Laverne after one of the jamming sessions in the Friley dens.
Something Unique About Me: I’m a huge sucker for memories. If I could hoard them in boxes, I would. Through all these years, I’ve met plenty of amazing people, and I have some or the other memories associated with them. Yes, not all of them stick around, but the memories always do.
Words of Wisdom (for current and future engineering scholars): You may or may not be academically smart, and it is A-okay. What matters the most is your attitude toward it all. As an international student who left her home five years ago for the first time ever, no matter what comes up, a positive attitude is the only way through.
