Why Engineering: I chose to be an engineer because this is a field I’ve always been interested in growing up. I’ve grown up around 3D printers at my high school, and I was also one of the Team Leads for the club; and now, I get to specialize in the thing I’ve loved doing the most.
Favorite ISU Memory: My favorite ISU Memory was the time I got to drive some students from Ghana to the Twin Cities. I went with a friend of mine to the Mall of America for the first time and spent a ton of money on Legos there. The trip was awesome, and even though the students were here for two weeks, it was a weekend I won’t forget.
Something Unique About Me: A friend of mine bought me a Kermit the Frog hand-puppet. So, for trips, I bring it with me, and it almost always is the center of attention for the first few days. Especially because I can match the voice, there’s been a lot of inside jokes and pictures we’ve gotten with it.
Words of Wisdom: Show a willingness to learn and approach professors early and often. They would be more welcome to a student coming to their office to learn more about and get clarification on a topic. I would also advise on doing some sort of research, as it allows you to learn more about and get clarification on a topic. I would also advise doing some sort of research, as it allows you to learn more about the field, and you have the opportunity to meet with the professor on a regular basis.
