Why Engineering: Engineering is one of the most versatile fields that will never stop growing! I went into industrial engineering because I was intrigued by the idea of being able to make an impact on so many individuals, even with the smallest process improvement solutions.
Favorite ISU Memory: One of my favorite memories at Iowa State was touring the American Girl distribution facility in Wisconsin during my freshman year! A few industrial engineering students and I attended a conference back in Spring 2019, and I was able to meet other IEs from other universities and learn more about my major. It was definitely the solidifying moment that told me I was in the right major!
Something Unique About Me: Before I got into engineering, I thought I wanted to go into music! I have played the piano for most of my life, so continuing my piano studies in college has been rewarding. I think it would be really cool to open my own music studio in addition to continuing my engineering career down the road.
Words of Wisdom: Don’t be afraid to try new things and meet new people! You never know how helpful people you cross paths with will be for future opportunities. Take advantage of meeting other students in classes and try to find people to study with!
