Why Engineering: At an early age, I gained an interest in computers and video games. However, I never really knew how they worked. I was simply an end-user. Through Google and other resources, I found out that these engineers apparently just “made stuff work” like magic. So, I decided that I wanted to become an engineer as well.
Favorite ISU Memory: Joining the McNair program and being surrounded by like-minded individuals who looked like me and aimed to be academically successful truly motivated me and empowered me to reach my full potential.
Something Unique About Me: I’m trilingual (French, English, and Spanish) and hope to pick up a few more languages as I travel post-graduation.
Words of Wisdom: Embraces challenges and do not be afraid to fail! Often times in engineering, before reaching a final product, there are several iterations and attempts. I like to apply the same concept to life challenges. Each experience and challenge brings us closer to a great final product.
