Why Engineering: As a kid, I was obsessed with LEGOs. My favorite thing to do was to put the sets together, take them apart, and then try to create something completely different out of the set. The process of using the same components to create multiple things intrigued me. So, Mechanical Engineering was a no-brainer, as it allows me to use my creativity to create engineered solutions.
Favorite ISU Memory: My favorite memory is gamedays! Doesn’t matter which sport. The environment inside of Jack Trice or Hilton Coliseum in the student section is electric.
Something Unique About Me: Something unique about me is that I love anything about preserving the environment. I’m involved in Engineers for a Sustainable World, where we have projects centered around renewable energy. I hope to pursue a career in renewable energy to reduce air pollution emissions and diversify energy supply.
Words of Wisdom: No matter what, focus on yourself and find what works for you. What works for others may not work for you, and that is completely okay! Essentially, do not compare yourself to others, everyone progresses at different speeds, but the point is you progress! As long as you stay motivated and believe in yourself, you will succeed!
