Why Engineering: Originally, I chose engineering because I was a natural problem solver and enjoyed math. I stuck with electrical engineering specifically because I like how meticulous and well-defined it is, how versatile and broad it is as a field, and the problems that we try to solve.
Favorite ISU Memory: My favorite memory is going to a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin with a big group of people from International Student Council for spring break. Among the many things we did there, the bonfire and playing hide-and-seek in the dark at night were the most memorable (I got jump-scared!).
Something Unique About Me: I love music and editing videos, so I started a YouTube channel where I post little travel vlogs and just videos of my friends and me having fun.
Words of Wisdom: As hard as it is to make time for hobbies, friends, and yourself outside of classes, the more important it is to make your college experience worthwhile. Work-life balance gets easier with time, and allowing yourself to honor other aspects of your life is much more productive than you might think. My last piece of advice is to be kind to yourself and know that your grades don’t have to mean anything about your potential.
