Why Engineering: Ever since I can remember I’ve had many curiosities about why things in the world are the way they are on a fundamental level. Engineering is a realm that meets the curiosities I have had forever. It has made me look at the world in a completely different and new, exciting way. It makes me feel fulfilled.
Favorite ISU Memory: Walking around on central campus when the flowers start to blossom in the spring.
Something Unique About Me: I can deadlift 455 pounds, and I really enjoy rock climbing. I love outdoor activities as well, including golfing, hiking, swimming, slalom water skiing, snowboarding, and so much more.
Words of Wisdom: I cannot stress this enough. GPA matters, but the most important thing is what you learn in your time here. I have had moments where I’ve done things to be a “good student” and have done work that earns me a good grade, without putting my learning first. You’re not here for grades. You’re here to learn, and earn a degree to prove that you have learned.
