Why Engineering: I’ve always been curious about how things work and spent a lot of time taking things apart and trying to understand how the world around me functioned. The biggest contributor was going to work with my father and seeing the massive machinery at his company and knowing that I wanted to play with it one day.
Favorite ISU Memory: Going to Convos on the weekends and absolutely destroying smoothies and quesadilla burgers when they had them while living in Richardson Court. In addition to the food, I’ve loved meeting people in classes and making some killer friends.
Something Unique About Me: I’m really into cars. This also shaped my decision to go into mechanical engineering with a dream of working at an automotive company post-graduation. I spend a lot of my free time in the summer (and a lot of my money) modifying my car and hope to make it to a couple of track days this summer.
Words of Wisdom: Follow what you love and plan ahead. Coming to college I was an Aerospace Engineer and after a year I realized that the major did not align with what I wanted to do post-graduation. It is never too late to change. Also planning out your four years makes class registration much less stressful.
