Information
Sriram Sundararajan is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University and serves as Interim Asisstant Provost for Special Projects and as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Engineering. His research areas encompass multiscale tribology and engineering education. He has authored over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and has developed undergraduate and graduate curricula in mechanical engineering and leadership development. As Associate Dean, Dr. Sundararajan oversees the educational programs and faculty affairs across the college. He has launched new degree programs, overseen accreditation and student success projects and expanded award programs and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. Dr. Sundararajan is a Fellow of ASME and serves the society as an ABET commissioner, as a member of the Tribology Division Executive Committee.
